Global Islamic Sharia Law starting by 2013?

I have a theory that the fulfillment of Daniel's 70 week prophecy is just a few years away.  The following statistics adapted from Dr. Peter Hammond's book: Slavery, Terrorism and Islam: The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat help to validate my theory. I will be posting my theory soon; but in the meantime, keep the following thoughts in the back of your mind during the next few years.

Islam as a System –

Islam is not a religion nor is it a cult. It is a complete system. Islam has religious, legal, political, economic and military components. The religious component is a beard for all the other components. Islamization occurs when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to agitate for their so-called 'religious rights.'

When politically correct and culturally diverse societies agree to 'the reasonable' Muslim demands for their 'religious rights,' they also get the other components under the table. Here's how it works (percentages source CIA: The World Fact Book (2007)).

As long as the Muslim population remains around 1% of any given country they will be regarded as a peace-loving minority and not as a threat to anyone. In fact, they may be featured in articles and films, stereotyped for their colorful uniqueness:

United States -- Muslim 1.0%
Australia -- Muslim 1.5%
Canada -- Muslim 1.9%
China -- Muslim 1%-2%
Italy -- Muslim 1.5%
Norway -- Muslim 1.8%
 

At 2% and 3% they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs:  

Denmark -- Muslim 2%
Germany -- Muslim 3.7%
United Kingdom -- Muslim 2.7%
Spain -- Muslim 4%
Thailand -- Muslim 4.6%

From 5% on they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. 

They will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature it on their shelves -- along with threats for failure to comply. (United States).

France -- Muslim 8%
Philippines -- Muslim 5%
Sweden -- Muslim 5%
Switzerland -- Muslim 4.3%
The Netherlands -- Muslim 5.5%
Trinidad & Tobago -- Muslim 5.8% 

At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islam is not to convert the world but to establish Sharia law over the entire world. 

When Muslims reach 10% of the population, they will increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions (Paris -- car-burnings). Any non-Muslim action that offends Islam will result in uprisings and threats (Amsterdam - - Mohammad cartoons).

Guyana -- Muslim 10%
India -- Muslim 13.4%
Israel -- Muslim 16%
Kenya -- Muslim 10%
Russia -- Muslim 10-15%  

After reaching 20% expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings and church and synagogue burning:

Ethiopia -- Muslim 32.8%

At 40% you will find widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks and ongoing militia warfare: 

Bosnia -- Muslim 40%
Chad -- Muslim 53.1%
Lebanon -- Muslim 59.7% 

From 60% you may expect unfettered persecution of non-believers and other religions, sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon and Jizya, the tax placed on infidels:

Albania -- Muslim 70%
Malaysia -- Muslim 60.4%
Qatar -- Muslim 77.5%
Sudan -- Muslim 70%  

After 80% expect State run ethnic cleansing and genocide:

Bangladesh -- Muslim 83%
Egypt -- Muslim 90%
Gaza -- Muslim 98.7%
Indonesia -- Muslim 86.1%
Iran -- Muslim 98%
Iraq -- Muslim 97%
Jordan -- Muslim 92%
Morocco -- Muslim 98.7%

100% will usher in the peace of 'Dar-es-Salaam' -- the Islamic House of Peace -- there's supposed to be peace because everybody is a Muslim: 

Afghanistan -- Muslim 100%
Saudi Arabia -- Muslim 100%
Somalia -- Muslim 100%
Yemen -- Muslim 99.9%

Of course, that's not the case. Muslims then start killing each other for a variety of reasons.

It is good to remember that in many, many countries, such as France , the Muslim populations are centered around ghettos based on their ethnicity.. Muslims do not integrate into the community at large. Therefore, they exercise more power than their national average would indicate.

Rev. Lindsay Williams, a Chaplin with executive status on the Prudhoe Bay Pipeline; the largest construction project in history to that time, was present at the discovery of an oil field below Gull Island the size of the Prudhoe Bay pool.
 
Rev. Lindsay saw the gusher and test results come in and an executive of the oil company at Gull Island told the pastor that there are many pools of oil like that at Prudhoe Bay under Alaska; but that the government won't let them be touched. The government forced the oil companies to keep quiet or else they'd shut them down with over regulation.

At the time of this writing, I have not read his book. But you can find out more about it and/or purchase it here.

I highly recommend that you take some time to view this man's extremely sincere  testimony.  If what he says is true, it will teach you key buzz words and topics to listen for in the media to possibly assist in an education regarding the rising prices at the pumps.

The Coming Biblical Anti-Christ??? Islam's "Madhi" Messiah???

"His Royal Highness" Prince EL- Hassan bin Talal of Jordan appears to have the edge on the "might be the Anti-Christ" list.

In addition to my May 9 posting below; I felt the need to share a summary of Joe VanKovering's sermon, "Man of Sin". I have the sermon on video from the 2007 Prophecy Conference.

The ministry of God's News Behind the News hosts one of the best prophecy conferences each year, which always includes notable prophecy teachers as speakers. One of the speakers is usually Joe Vankoevering, of that ministry.

A friend sent me an audio tape of an intriguing speech by Vankoevering at one of those recent conferences. It was a lengthy and detailed presentation on the possible identity of the "Man of Sin" to whom Paul referred in 2 Thessalonians 2:3.

After an hour or more of detailed evidence, Vankoevering boldly concluded that there is only one man in the world who meets all the criteria: He is "His Royal Highness" Prince EL- Hassan bin Talal of Jordan, who is the 42nd generation direct descendant of the prophet Mohammad.

Hassan is also the brother of the late King Hussein of Jordan and the uncle of its present King Abdullah. He was the rightful heir of the throne but at the last minute his brother gave the kingdom to his son. In a final letter, the late king wrote to his brother and said, "The world at large will be your world." (Prophetic?)

I have lengthy notes and I cannot include them all here, but Vankoevering gave several criteria for the man of sin that Hassan meets:

1. He must be a Gentile Muslim (various reasons). Hassan is.


2. He must be of Assyrian ancestry (Isaiah 10). Hassan is.


3. He must be a "prince" (Daniel 9). Hassan is.


4. He must be the king of Babylon (Isaiah 14). Hassan may become. Vankoevering says that Hassan is the invisible hand behind all the electoral and constitutional processes in Iraq and has definite designs and desires of eventually becoming the president of Iraq.


5. He must be a man of peace. Hassan is. He is a world-recognized and tireless worker for peace amongst Muslims, Jews, and Christians.


6. He must be a peacemaker with Israel. Hassan is. He was the one who wrote and coordinated the Oslo accords, and is in the photo with Clinton and Arafat. Vankoevering says that Hassan will confirm this covenant. In a recent interview, Hassan was asked how long it would take for the Oslo peace to be realized. His answer was, "more than 5-6 years." (Could that mean 7 years, Vankoevering asks?)


7. He must bring the religions together, an activity he is actively involved in. He is honored by Christian and Jewish organizations.


8. He must claim Jerusalem. He believes his destiny is tied to Jerusalem and wrote a book about the city in 1979.


9. He must be of the Hashimite kingdom, which he is.

Vankoevering explains why the Anti-Christ does not have to come from Europe, and that the Middle East lands of Hassan's ancestry were part of the old Roman Empire. Get this: Among many other things, Hassan was the President of the Club of Rome! He is also a CFR board member, a UNESCO board member, and he speaks seven languages.

Hassan also meets the several requirements of the coming Mahdi (Muslim messiah). One is that the Mahdi will be a direct descendant of the prophet Mohammad. Another is that he will have a broad forehead and a prominent, pointed nose.

This short message does not do justice to Vankoevering's outstanding presentation. He says he has volumes of documentation to prove every point and is putting it all in a book, but as far as I know the book is not out yet.

(I know this is a controversial subject so please do not argue these points with me. Save them until the book comes out then argue with Vankoevering.)

Maybe this is enough to prick your interest. Keep your prophetic eyes on His Royal Highness Prince EL- Hassan bin Talal of Jordan. One way or another, you will no doubt hear more of him. (As long as you are here, of course.)

Sequence of End-Time Events??? You Decide!

May take about an hour… it flows really well. I agree with about 95% of the site. I also recommend signing up for their newsletter.

The two areas that I find questionable are:

1. They place the current King Abdullah of Jordan as the Antichrist; whereas, Joe VanKovering’s “Man of Sin” sermon has compelling evidence of his uncle, El Hassan Bin Talal as the up and coming leader. Either one is an EXCELLENT canditate.


2. They place the Gog/MaGog battle at the end of the Tribulation. I believe this battle either takes place just before the Mid-Point of the Tribulation, or possibly before the Tribulation even begins.

I also find their interpretation of the “Dead in Christ” rising first and the 40 Day warning period preceding the Rapture extremely interesting. I haven’t heard it described that way before. I will continue to research this aspect of intrepretation.

This Rosh Hashanah (Sept 29, 2008) starts the next Sabbatical year and it ends the same time in 2015 (7 years). These types of signs are to appear just prior to Christ’s return (e.g., 2016) if my chart is valid. There are to be 4 Lunar and 2 Solar eclipses during those two years… This lines up with our theory… I believe this may be the time of intense persecution of the Jews by the AntiChrist during the Tribulation, just before Christ’s return.

It’s incredible that they all line up on Jewish holidays; and the last time Four Blood Moons fell on Jewish holidays the same Jewish calendar year was 1968-1969, 1949-1950, 1492-1493, etc. All significant Jewish dates. I’ll be conducting more research to validate these findings as I need to learn more about the Jewish Feasts… will keep you posted.

IF there is a Pre-Trib Rapture then I’m becoming more convinced that it could take place as early as this fall or as late as next spring! Although, still only a theory… yet very convincing!

And can studying NASA's website provide evidence for such a scenario?

A minister who promotes the Old Testament roots of Christianity suggests a rare string of lunar and solar eclipses said to fall on God's annual holy days seven years from now could herald what's come to be known as the "Second Coming" of Jesus.

"God wants us to look at the biblical calendar," says Mark Biltz, pastor of El Shaddai Ministries in Bonney Lake, Wash. "The reason we need to be watching is [because] He will signal His appearance. But we have to know what to be watching as well. So we need to be watching the biblical holidays."

In a video interview on the Prophecy in the News website, Biltz said he's been studying prophecies that focus on the sun and moon, even going back to the book of Genesis where it states the lights in the sky would be "be for signs, and for seasons."

"It means a signal, kind of like 'one if by land, two if by sea.' It's like God wants to signal us," he said. "The Hebrew word implies ... not only is it a signal, but it's a signal for coming or His appearing."

Biltz adds the word "seasons" implies appointed times for God's feasts and festivals.

"When we hear the word feast, we think food. But the Hebrew word has nothing to do with food. It has to do with a divine appointment, as if God has a day timer, and He says, 'OK, I'm gonna mark the day and the time when I'm going to signal My appearance.'"

In the Old Testament, the prophet Joel states, "The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come." (Joel 2:31)

In the New Testament, Jesus is quoted as saying, "Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light ... And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory." (Matthew 24:29-30)

Gary Stearman of Prophecy in the News noted, "When we think of the sun being darkened and the moon not giving her light, we usually think of some astronomical catastrophe – perhaps the sun sputtering and the moon being affected by all this. But maybe it's time to rethink this a little bit and think of it as a natural cycle, the cycle of the eclipses."

Thus, Biltz began focusing on the precise times of both solar and lunar eclipses, sometimes called "blood moons" since the moon often takes on a bloody color. He logged onto NASA's eclipse website which provides precision tracking of the celestial events.

He noted a rare phenomenon of four consecutive total lunar eclipses, known as a tetrad.

He says during this century, tetrads occur at least six times, but what's interesting is that the only string of four consecutive blood moons that coincide with God's holy days of Passover in the spring and the autumn's Feast of Tabernacles (also called Succoth) occurs between 2014 and 2015 on today's Gregorian calendar.

"The fact that it doesn't happen again in this century I think is very significant," Biltz explains. "So then I looked at last century, and, believe it or not, the last time that four blood red moons occurred together was in 1967 and 1968 tied to Jerusalem recaptured by Israel."

He then started to notice a pattern of the tetrads.

"What's significant to me is that even before 1967, the next time that you had four blood red moons again was right after Israel became a nation in '48, it happened again in 1949 and 1950 ... on Passover and Succoth. You didn't have any astronomical tetrads in the 1800s, the 1700s, the 1600s. In the 1500s, there were six, but none of those fell on Passover and Succoth."

When checking the schedule for solar eclipses, Biltz found two – one on the first day of the Hebrew year and the next on the high holy day of Rosh Hashanah, the first day of the seventh Hebrew month. Both of these take place in the 2014-2015 year.

Biltz says, "You have the religious year beginning with the total solar eclipse, two weeks later a total lunar eclipse on Passover, and then the civil year beginning with the solar eclipse followed two weeks later by another total blood red moon on the Feast of Succoth all in 2015."

"If you think that this is a coincidence, I want you to know that it's time!" exclaimed Prophecy in the News host J.R. Church. "There are no more of these for the rest of the century."

The prospect of eclipses pinpointing the time of Jesus' return is getting mixed reaction in Christian circles.

After seeing Biltz's interview, Jim Bramlett, an author and former vice president for the Christian Broadcasting Network, expressed excitement.

"I have just watched the program two times and do not think I have ever been more encouraged or excited about the soon return of the Lord!" Bramlett said.

But Hal Lindsey, a well-known biblical analyst and author of "The Late Great Planet Earth," says while he hasn't heard of Biltz's theory, he called it "pure speculation."

"In my 50-something years of studying prophecy, to me the greatest indication of the time of Christ's return is based around the general things of prophecies coming together in the same time frame."

He mentioned not only Israel's birth as a political state in 1948, but the increase in tensions with Muslims, the rise of Russia, China and the European Union, which he says is even "calling itself the revived Roman Empire."

"I see the whole sweep and panorama spinning together in a precise scenario," he said.

During a second video interview, Biltz was presented with Bible quotes that many think suggest Jesus' return will be a complete surprise, or at least not specifically known.

The 25th chapter of Matthew features a parable where Jesus likens His kingdom to ten virgins all waiting for the arrival of their bridegroom.

Jesus said in the story, "ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh." (Matthew 25:13)

Biltz says people need to examine the quote in its proper context.

"When He says you don't know the day or the hour, He's speaking to the foolish virgins, not the wise virgins," he explained.

Biltz was also asked about the famous statement in Matthew 24:36 when Jesus was discussing the signs of His "coming, and of the end of the world": "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." (Matthew 24:36)

He responded by referring to the annual Feast of Trumpets holiday, saying Israelites never knew the precise moment it began, "because it was based on the sighting of the new moon."

"When He (Jesus) says you won't know the day or the hour, He's telling you it's the Feast of Trumpets because that was known as the feast where no one knew the day or the hour that it would begin," said Biltz. "So it's kind of like if I told you, 'I'm not going to tell you when I'm coming, but "Gobble, gobble, gobble,'" [pointing to] Turkey Day."

Church stressed despite the information suggesting 2015 could be a pivotal time, "We don't know that that will be the concluding year of the tribulation period ... so we're not setting a date and saying this is a warning. We're introducing the possibility of a watch."

Perry Stone Conference - Feb 2008 LaMarque, Tx

Well, I recently attended one of Perry's many conferences down in LaMarque, Tx, just south of Houston Feb 20-24. It was a five day conference where he shared more intriguing information regarding prophetic things to come, as well as new insights to old, familiar teachings.

He held a morning and evening service each day, Wed-Sun. Topics included:

1. Did Daniel See America As A Last Day Empire: A New Look At An Old Beast.

• During this teaching, Perry covered the ancient prophecies in Daniel Chapters 2, 7 & 8.
  

• Traditionally we have been taught that the Empires, or Kingdoms have come and gone one after another down through history and that there will only be one empire divided into 10 territories at his return.

• To summarize, this prophecy has a duel, prophetic application... Perry uncovered how that ALL of the Gentile Kingdoms will have to be in power at the same time in the last days.

2. An Earthly Glimpse Behind Heavens Gate: New Discoveries Concerning The Resurrection, Heaven And New Jerusalem.

• This session included some amazing insights into science, technology, and what it could possibly be like living, traveling, and communicating with our glorified bodies.

• One of the most interesting differentiations between the traditional teaching of the New Jerusalem coming down out of heaven in the shape of a cube is the possibility of it being in the shape of a Pyramid. Now that knowledge nugget won't get you saved, but it sure made much more sense. Think about it! The Great Pyramids???

3. The Jerusalem Mystery-The Original Road To Heaven: The Mysterious Link Of Jerusalem To Adam And The Ancient Garden Of Eden.

• This session included some amazing insights that he has written about in his new book: "Unusual Prophecies Being Fulfilled: Jerusalem's Mysterious Connection to the Ancient Garden of Eden and How Christ Will Restore Paradise on Earth!" This is the 5th book in the series.  I have it, have read it, and it's awesome!
  


• In it he suggests that is possible that the ancient Jewish Temple once stood on the same mountain where the tree of life once grew?


• What if the Holy of Holies was the actual place where God came down to commune with Adam?


• What if the back of the Mount of Olives was the location where Adam and Eve sewed fig leave aprons after the fall?


• What if the city of Adam near Jericho was the place Adam lived after he was expelled from the garden?
  

In the book, and in this teaching session, Perry spoke about the link between Jerusalem and the Garden of Eden.

4. God's Amazing Cosmic Code: How Prophecies Are Encoded Within The Cosmic Signs In The Heavens.

ON THE VERGE OF WORLD WAR III

Recently, President Bush stunned the secular journalist when he announced that if Iran is permitted to continue their development of nuclear weapons, it could lead to World War III. Was this an outlandish statement to arouse support of the recent sanctions against Iran’s radical Islamic regime? Or, was it a fact of concern from a well informed world leader who knows much more than revealed publicly?

First, the intelligence services in North America and our allies throughout the world have collected data indicating Iran is a serious security threat. The present political leader of Iraq, Ahmadinejad, is an, “Apocalyptic Muslim.” He believes in the appearing of the 12th Imam who will reemerge from occultation at the end of days, following a great war between the east and the west. This man identified in the Shi’ite tradition as the Mahdi, (the awaited or expected one), will arise from the Middle East at a time when Islam is in crises. He will unite the Islamic nations under his control and defeat the Jews, Christians and all infidels. A group of Imams (Islamic religious leaders) in Iran believe it is their divine assignment to prepare the way for this soon to appear Islamic messiah. Based upon an alleged dream, the president or Iran by defeating Israel and America, will expedite the arrival of the Mahdi.

Ahmadinejad’s intentions to attack both Israel and America were made public shortly after his election. Our military recently tracked and stopped ships from North Korea with nuclear materials on them, headed for Iran. One very serious aspect of the Iranian threat is the development of a chemical that can be placed in the water supply of a major city and could kill as many as 2 million at one time. This chemical was developed in Iran and has already been tested on large animals and on people near the border of Iran. High level Israeli and American intelligence are familiar with this danger.

The situation is much more than Iran developing a capability for nuclear warheads. They are only about 18 months away from having the warheads capable for action. Will America initiate a pre-emptive strike? Will Israel hit with a sudden surprise attack? Will the leader in Iran be forced from power or assassinated, by internal dissidents? By in large 80% of the Iranian people appreciate America and many Persians have family or close friends living in the United States. For centuries Jews and Iranians were friendly towards one another, until the Iranian revolution in 1979. Then, the Islamic fanatics seized the U.S. embassy for 444 days planting anti-western hatred. There is the issue of Apocalyptic Islam, nuclear warheads, biological and chemical WMDS, and the fact that Iran has planned to slowly control Iraq once the U.S. troops are removed.

So how do we respond to this imminent threat? Do we rest in false security even when our own cities are in danger? Do we pre-empt another strike and enter a third battle arena? Do we put on a show of force but allow Israel to hit their targets while we provide back up support? Let’s look at this situation from another angle.

If President Bush chooses not to attack while he is in office, choosing to, “Let the next president handle the situation,” how comfortable would you feel with the next president (considering all the candidates) taking charge of the situation? Do you think a President Hillary Clinton would have the will power and the backing from liberals to take America into conflict? What about on the other side of the isle? Would it not be better to settle the issue now, as to put it off until later and perhaps give Iran the time to be a nuclear nightmare in Israel, and yes, America’s back yard?

Students and prophetic scholars are noting the amazing maturing of the times of the Gentiles and the many prophetic stepping stones and milestones indicating we are in the last days. We must always acknowledge the Lord is in control and our trust is in Him. He has written the script and we are the actors and the stage. The final act is about to begin!

No offense to our women; but IF Hillary is elected we (America) can kiss it goodbye!

And think about the 2000 Presidential election between Bush and Gore: God is ultimately in control and knows not only the future, but also who's best qualified to run any country.

I'm reminded of Daniel 2:20-21:

"Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and might are His. And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding."

Do you think that it's coincidence that Saddam was removed from power? Do you really think that Bush stole the election? I'll tell you this, and Perry said it best: IF Gore and Lieberman (a Jew) would have won the election, do you think that we would have had any chance to conduct the War on Terror in ANY Islamic/Muslim country (i.e., Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey). Islam would have surely thought that a Jewish conspiracy was in play to take over the Middle East via the United States! God knows what He is doing; and Bush is the man for the current job.

I truely believe deep down in my heart that 2008-2009 will be catastrophically prophetic.

"Israeli Strategic Affairs minister Avigdor Lieberman tells the Jerusalem Post that Egyptian and Saudi Arabian intentions to ramp up their nuclear programs in the face of Iran's move to nuclear power present an "apocalyptic scenario" for Israel as well as for the rest of the world.

If Egypt and Saudi Arabia begin nuclear programs, this can bring an apocalyptic scenario upon us," Lieberman told the Post. "Their intentions should be taken seriously and the declarations being made now are to prepare the world for when they decide to actually do it.""...(more).

What's Happening To All Of The Nation's Bees?

Excerpt from 60 Minutes segment:
"Farmers who grow fruits, vegetables and nuts need five basic things: soil, seed, sun, water and honeybees. The pollination of crops by honeybees is crucial to the production of one-third of all the foods we eat. So when billions of bees began to mysteriously disappear in 2006, it set off a number of warning bells. Steve Kroft speaks with beekeeper David Hackenberg, who first noticed the problem, and some scientists working to bring the bees back."

As a student of Eschatology for the past decade... It just may have something to do with the impending Black horse rider in the book of Revelation. I would have to agree with Dr. Perry Stone and his video taping with Bill Cloud on what's happening with the bees from a biblical perspective. The biggest contributor is most likely the Science (Pesticides), and the Technology of the day that is fulfilling the scriptures.

What I've discovered by studying the scriptures is that this is merely a symptom, or another sign in of the last days. The Bible simply provides an explanation of an end time famine approaching (Rev 6). You don't see it on this side of the Rapture... but the world will see it on the other side of the Rapture.

Bill Cloud has an excellent teaching and perspective in his video called “The LAST Day Famine”.

WHY IS ISRAEL DIVIDING THE LAND – AGAIN?

In June of 1967, the Israeli air force pre-empted an air assault against the Egyptian air force, thus beginning the famous 6 Day War. Nassar, the President of Egypt had previously engaged Israel in a war in 1956. For several weeks Israeli intelligence observed Russian made military weaponry and equipment being positioned near the Egyptian border and Nassar was announcing he would soon, “push the Jews into the ocean.” Despite global criticism, Israel struck at the heart of the Egyptian air force, crippling hundreds of Egyptian air craft, rendering their air power helpless. At that moment the surrounding borders began to change.

Nasser drew the Jordanians into the conflict by threatening to assassinate the King of Jordan, if he refused to participate. The Jordanians had the most to lose. They controlled all of the West Bank and all of East Jerusalem. As Jordan reluctantly entered the violent conflict, the Syrians began a thrust toward Tiberias, using the latest Russian tanks. Imagine the surprise when 6 days later, Egypt, Jordan and Syria were defeated and a cease fire was called. The Arabs demanded the United States force Israel to stop the war. The Israeli military was pushing across the Negev desert toward Cairo and were also headed toward Damascus, the capitol of Syria.

After the 6 Day War Israel annexed the Negev desert, the West Bank and East Jerusalem and the Golan Heights into their territory. Immediately the surrounding nations began to demand Israel give back the land they had seized “illegally.” (I wonder if they would have given back land if the war had gone the other way.)

Former President Jimmy Carter pressured Israeli Prime Minister Began to give back the Negev Desert to Egypt in a peace agreement with Egyptian President Anwar Sadat. The agreement would later cost Sadat his life in an ambush by Islamic fanatics during a special military parade. I was informed that Israel attempted to give the Gaza Strip to Egypt along with over 1 million Palestinian refugees, but Egypt refused to take them. They wanted this camp to be a burden to the Israeli government.

From that moment forward there has been intense pressure on Israel to give the West Bank (ancient Judea and Samaria) and Arab East Jerusalem back to the Jordanians and allow a Palestinian state to be formed along side of Israel.

The strange and often overlooked challenge is more than Israel’s security and the fact that millions of Israel’s enemies could pour into the newly formed state as a plot against the total annihilation of the Jewish state. The unseen problem is this:

Gaza with over 1 million Palestinian refugees is located to the extreme south in Israel near the border of Egypt. The West Bank is about a 2 hour drive from Gaza, separated by hundreds of miles of land that is presently Israel. Syria is demanding back the Golan Heights and some Palestinians believe they also have the right to this territory. Thus, instead of having one state, you end up with two and possibly three states surrounding Israel. The challenge has been, how can Israel connect the Gaza fanatics to the more moderate Arabs in the West Bank area? The fanatics are seizing more power in these areas and they all agree on the destruction of Israel.

Let’s put the shoe on the other foot. If the government of Mexico suddenly called for the overthrow of the U.S. government and the use of terrorist, detonating bombs on buses in the markets and in schools, and we were to see Mexican terrorists striking in America, how long would it take for the U.S. government and the American people to rise up and demand a stop to illegal immigration and force a wall to be constructed at the U.S. border for the security of America?

Yet, the United States under the leadership of Condi Rice is demanding Israel to withdraw military forces and move the Jewish settlers out of the Gaza (which has already occurred) and the West Bank (which is occurring now). She and certain key government people do this knowing the threat against Israel.

Israel is certainly in a terrible bind. If they do not give up the land the continual threat of internal terrorism against the Jewish people is upon them. If they do, then there is a threat of terrorist coming from Gaza and Lebanon and moving closer to the Jewish settlements.

What is unique is the prophet Ezekiel describes much of what is occurring in Ezekiel 35 and 36. Chapter 35 beings as a prophecy against Mount Seir in Jordan which is the actual origin of the Palestinian people.

God said they have a perpetual hatred against Israel even in the time when their calamity (captivity) had ended (Ez. 35:5). They declare that, “These two nations and these two countries shall be mine” (35:10). I believe this alludes to a Palestinian state along side of Israel. They say that the mountains of Israel are given to them. This alludes to Ancient Judea and Samaria known today as the West Bank (Ez. 35:12; 36:2). God warns Israel they will be persuaded by the “lips of talkers” (36:3). God then reveals that for his name sake He will defend and bless the mountains of Israel for Israel’s sake (36:20-23).

I believe that this conflict of dividing the land will be one of several triggers to create the circumstances for the Gog and Magog battle, recorded in Ezekiel 38 and 39. That battle will unfold on the mountains of Israel, specifically the Bashan (Golan Heights) and the Valley of the Passengers, which in Hebrew is the area of Jordan across from Jericho (Ezekiel 39:11; 39:18).

I have both Jewish and Palestinian friends (some Christians and some Muslim) who get along with one another and have for many years. The conflict however, places pressure on Jews to despise the Arabs and Arabs to despise the Jews. In most moderate Islamic nations they confess they like the America people but do not like America’s policies. When asked what policy, they always reply, “America’s unconditional support of Israel.”

Israel is again forced to divide the land for the sake of security (peace). As Christians we must love both sides – the Jews and Arabs and reveal to them the greatest hope for their future, Jesus Christ. After all, according to the Scripture only the return of the Prince of Peace can and will settle this family feud that began at the time of Isaac and Ishmael.

Excerpts from the Associated Press: "Lebanese troops opened fire Thursday on IAF warplanes flying low over southern Lebanon, but no hits were reported, Lebanese officials said. Lebanese soldiers opened up with machine guns and light anti-aircraft weapons mounted on armored vehicles at two planes that flew by just east of Marjayoun near the border at midmorning, a Lebanese security official said. A total of 150 rounds were fired, he added. A senior military officer also said the army 'confronted' the Israeli planes, but gave no details. It was the first time Lebanese troops had opened fire on Israeli aircraft since the August 14, 2006 cease-fire that ended the Second Lebanon War. It is also the first time since February that the Lebanese army, which deployed in the south after the fighting, has fired on the Israelis...."

WHAT PUTIN'S HISTORIC TRIP TO IRAN MEANS: Washing leaders asking if unfolding events in Middle Ease were foretold in the Bible? by Joel Rosenberg

Sobering, apocalyptic talk from President Bush on Wednesday....during a press briefing at the White House, the President was asked about Vladimir Putin's visit with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in Tehran and the threat posed by this emerging Russian-Iranian nuclear alliance....the President warned that World War III could break out if Iran gets nuclear weapons....

Here is an excerpt from the official transcript: "I believe that if Iran had a nuclear weapon, it would be a dangerous threat to world peace. We've got a leader in Iran who has announced that he wants to destroy Israel. So I've told people that if you're interested in avoiding World War III, it seems like you ought to be interested in preventing them from having the knowledge necessary to make a nuclear weapon."

....as the President was speaking to reporters at the White House, I had the privilege of speaking to a group of military leaders at the Pentagon on what Putin's historic and unprecedented trip to Iran means and how Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's eschatology is driving Iranian foreign policy....the event was off-the-record, meaning I'm not at liberty to share who was in the meeting or any of the specific details....but I can tell you that I gave a condensed version of the same information I've been speaking about publicly in recent weeks....I will be speaking on the same topic on Capitol Hill today with a group of Congressmen who have invited me to discuss the latest events with Putin and Ahmadinejad and what they might mean....here's an executive summary:

* To misunderstand the nature and threat of evil is to risk being blindsided by it. A new evil is rising in the world. Ahmadinejad is the new Hitler. Putin is a new Czar. Yet the West seems to be asleep to the implications of this dangerous new alliance.

* Ahmadinejad is a devout Shia Muslim. He began telling colleagues when he was first elected in the summer of 2005 that the end of the world was just two or three years away. He said the way to hasten the coming of the Islamic Messiah known as the "Mahdi" or the "Twelfth Imam" or the "Hidden Imam" is to annihilate two countries -- Israel, which he says is the "little Satan," and the United States, which he says is the "Great Satan."

* In September 2005, Ahmadinejad concluded his address to the U.N. by praying that Allah would hasten the coming of the Mahdi.

* Ahmadinejad returned to Iran after that speech and told Shia clerics that as he had spoken at the U.N. he had been surrounded by a halo of light, and that for 27 or 28 minutes not a single person in the General Assembly hall had even blinked, so mesmerized were they -- he said -- but what Allah was saying through him.

* In October 2005, Ahmadinejad gave his famous speech vowing to wipe Israel off the map. In the same speech, he urged the Muslim world to envision a world without the United States, and said this is possible -- a world without America and Zionism -- "when our holy hatred strikes like a wave."

* In December 2005, Russia signed a $1 billion arms deal with Iran, selling high-speed missiles to the Ahmadinejad regime, on top of billions of dollars worth of other arms, submarines, and nuclear technology in recent years.

* In September 2006, Ahmadinejad returned to the U.N. and again concluded his address by praying for Allah to hasten the coming of the Mahdi. Throughout 2006 and 2007, he has continued to give regular speeches denouncing Israel and assuring Muslims that the Jewish State will soon "vanish."

* In August 2007, Ahmadinejad began shifting gears. He was no longer saying that the end of the world was two or three years away. Now he was saying the return of the Mahdi was "imminent."

* In September 2007, Ahmadinejad again spoke at the U.N., as well as at Columbia University in New York City. This time, rather than ending his speeches with a prayer, he began both speeches by asking Allah to hasten the coming of the Mahdi.

* For the past two years, Ahmadinejad has been feverishly trying to build, buy or steal nuclear weapons. He has specifically been building alliances with three nuclear powers, Russia, China and North Korea, in pursuit of his genocidal objectives.

* Despite the apocalyptic rhetoric coming out of Tehran, the military, political and economic relationship between Russia and Iran has intensified dramatically over the past two years. Putin doesn't seem bothered by the talk of genocide. Putin and Ahmadinejad have met regularly. Putin's visit this week to Iran was the first by a Russian leader since 1943.

* Putin didn't meet only with Ahmadinejad in Iran. He also held a summit with the leaders of several Central Asian/Caspian Sea nations and issued a threat to the U.S. not to intervene militarily to stop Iran's nuclear program. (See Photos and article further below)

* No one is entirely certain why Putin is building an alliance with such radical Islamic regimes. Russia is certainly making billions of dollars from their arms and nuclear deals. Putin clearly wants to rebuild the glory of Mother Russia. He is becoming a Czar, centralizing power to himself and now saying he will step down as president in 2008 but stay in power as prime minister.

* As an emerging Czar, Putin wants to expand Russia's borders and influence. But he can't go West, because NATO is moving East. Putin can't go East because he borders a nuclear China. He recently claimed sovereignty over the North Pole. But his real opportunity to build a global, anti-Western empire lies to the South. So Putin is feverishly working to build alliances with Islamic and Arab powers, including Iran, Syria, Lebanon, Sudan, Libya, Algeria, and several Central Asian states, as well as Indonesia, the largest Muslim country in the world.

* Still, given Russia's experience in Chechnya, it doesn't really make sense that Russia would arm radical Islamic nations, or help them go nuclear.

* The Bible offers an intriguing clue to what could be happening. In Ezekiel 38-39, the Hebrew Prophet Ezekiel foretold a Russian-Iranian alliance that would form with a group of other North African, Middle Eastern, and Central Asian states in what the Bible calls "the last days." For most of the past 2,500 years since the prophecy was written, this had never happened. But it seems to be happening now.

* No one knows exactly when these prophecies will be fulfilled in their entirely. I certainly do not. My 2005 political thriller, The Ezekiel Option, was a fictional look at how these prophecies might play out, if they were to play in my lifetime. Epicenter is a non-fiction look (both the book and the documentary film) at these prophecies and the current dynamics in Russia, Iran and the rest of the region. It considers the possibility that we might actually be closer to the fulfillment of these prophecies that anyone in the political, business or media worlds has expected.

* One curious development worth noting: Ezekiel 36-37 have already come true in our lifetime. These are the famous prophecies that say that in the end times, Israel will be reborn as a nation, Jews will pour back into the Holy Land after centuries of exile, they will make the deserts bloom, they will rebuild the ancient ruins, and have an "exceedingly great army." Since these dramatic events have already happened, it begs the question: Could Ezekiel 38-39 -- what Bible scholars call the "War of Gog and Magog" -- also come true in our lifetime? This remains to be seen. But current events are raising lots of intriguing questions.

As I write in Epicenter, I am not trying to persuade people that these events are coming to pass soon. I'm trying to raise awareness of the threats we face as Americans, the threats our friends in Israel face, and the threats that everyone in the "epicenter" faces --, Jews, Muslims and Christians alike. I'm trying to make people aware of prophecies that intrigue me personally, and that may have relevance for our time. And I'm trying to motivate people to do more to care for the needs of the suffering and threatened people of the epicenter, specifically through the work of The Joshua Fund, the non-profit group that Lynn and I launched last year.

While I cannot say whether people in the Pentagon or Congress or the White House share my views, I am both intrigued and grateful that they are interested and have invited me to share my perspective.

At this moment in history, let us pray faithfully and earnestly for our political and military leaders, as well for the leaders in Israel, Russia, Iran and the epicenter. As the Apostle Paul wrote in I Timothy 2:1-4: "First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."

THE "WAR OF GOG AND MAGOG": Understanding Ezekiel 38-39: By Joel Rosenberg

The Ezekiel Option is based on the prophecies found in the Bible, specifically in the Book of Ezekiel, chapters 38 and 39; remarkably, the Hebrew Prophet Ezekiel, writing more than 2,500 years ago, was able to look down the corridors of time and see nations not yet born, and alliances not yet formed. In doing so, he foretold the rise of a Russian military alliance with Iran and other Middle Eastern countries to annihilate Israel during the earth's "last days." This is known by many Bible scholars as the "War of Gog and Magog." In this war, Ezekiel says the world will see a supernatural judgment of these enemies of Israel, and a spiritual awakening unparalleled in human history.

Few, however, are familiar with these important end times prophecies. Fewer still can imagine such events ever occurring. The Ezekiel Option was written to help people learn more about these dramatic coming events, and to help people understand what such events might look like if they were to play out in our lifetime.

FIRST THINGS FIRST

In a moment, I will walk you through the prophecies step-by-step. But first thing, let me note that the predictions found in Ezekiel chapters 36 & 37 have already come true. These are the famous chapters that foretell:

* The rebirth of the State of Israel in the end times (both chapters) 1948-AD

* The return of the Jews to the Holy Land after centuries in exile (36:10-11, 36:24, 36:37-38, 37:12, 37:21) Still currently in progress!

* The rebuilding of the ancient ruins in Israel (36:36) Still currently in progress!

* The re-blossoming of desolate, desert lands to produce abundant food, fruit and foliage (36:8-9 and 36:30-35) Still currently in progress!

* The creation of an "exceedingly great army" (37:11) Already happened!

Such prophecies began to be fulfilled in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, accelerated in 1948 and 1967, and continue to come to pass to this day. This, of course, raises an intriguing question: If Ezekiel 36 and 37 have largely come true in our lifetime, isn't it possible that Ezekiel 38 and 39 will soon come true as well?

That said, let's examine Ezekiel 38 and 39 more carefully.

* WHO will be involved in the "War of Gog and Magog"?
* WHAT will happen as this war begins and ends?
* WHEN will these events happen?
* WHERE will these events happen?
* WHY will these events happen?

In The Ezekiel Option, the characters carefully research the prophecy to try to understand if what they are seeing unfold before their very eyes is what was described by God in the Bible. That is, they go on a journey similar to my own in trying to understand these coming events. Every source I quote in the novel pertaining to Ezekiel 38 and 39 is real and accurate. What follows is an executive summary of the research I did for the novel.

UNDERSTANDING "THE WAR OF GOG AND MAGOG"

WHO

In Ezekiel 38:1-6, the Hebrew prophet gives a list of obscure names that will form a united coalition.

* Gog is described as being "of the land of Magog" and as the “prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal.” Most Bible scholars believe Gog is not a name but a title, like Pharoah or Czar. He is a dictator who will hatch an "evil plan" (38:10).

* Magog = Leading Bible scholars say this is Russia and republics of the former Soviet Union. The first century Roman historian Josephus said the "Magogites" were the peoples whom the Greeks called "Scythians." Scythians were a fierce, blood-thirsty civilization that settled north of the Baltic Sea in what is now Russia and the European republics of the former USSR.

* Rosh = Russia* Meshech = Some Bible scholars say this is Moscow, others believe it refers to Turkey

* Tubal = Some Bible scholars say this refers to the city/region of Tobolsk in Russia along the Tobol River; others say it refers to a section of modern-day Turkey. (Interestingly, in 1964, massive reserves of oil and gas were discovered in the Tobolsk region of Siberia and people now refer to the region as the "energy center of Russia.")* Persia = This was the official name of Iran until 1935

* Cush = Sudan and Ethiopia

* Put = Libya, and possibly Algeria and Tunisia

* Gomer = Turkey, but also possibly Germany and Austria

* Beth-togarmah = Armenia and the Turkic-speaking peoples of Central Asia

* "Many peoples with you" who will attack along "the mountains of Israel" = Other countries will be involved in the coalition as well, notably countries that border the mountains of Israel. This includes Lebanon, Syria and possibly Jordan.

* NOTE: Conspicuously absent from the list is Egypt and Iraq (typically referred to in Scripture as Babylon or Mesapotamia). This is noteworthy since Ezekiel was writing the prophecy in the City of Babylon, in the heart of Iraq. We would have to expect, then, that neither Egypt nor Iraq will participate. This is particularly interesting since Egypt signed a peace treaty with Israel in 1979 and Iraq is now so engrossed in its own internal struggles that it would be unlikely to join a coalition to destroy Israel in the next few years.

WHAT

Gog’s Plan

38:7 – Gog will build a military coalition and “be prepared" to strike
38:8 – Gog will deploy the coalition against Israel
39:9 – Gog will use overwhelming force against Israel; he and his coalition will “come like a storm....like a cloud covering the land”

God’s Plan

38:2 – The Lord God will bring judgment upon the enemies of Israel, beginning with Gog, the dictator of Russia
38:20 – The Lord will trigger a massive earthquake in which “all the men who are on the face of the earth will shake at My presence”
38:21 – The Lord will turn Gog’s forces against one another
38:22 – The Lord will subject Gog’s coalition forces to:

* pestilence
* blood
* torrential rains
* hailstones
* fire from heaven

39:6 – The Lord will “ send fire upon Magog” itself and others
39:9 – Israel will capture her enemies weapons and burn them for 7 years
39:12 – It will taken 7 full months to bury all the bodies of Israel's slain enemies 39:17-20 – Birds and beast will feast on the bodies of Israel's slain enemies

WHEN

38:8 – Israel will be a country again and Jews will be regathered to the Holy Land
38:11, 14 – “My people Israel are living securely” before the "War of Gog and Magog"
38:12-13 – Israel will have economic prosperity
38:16 – “It will come about in the last days” (before the return of Christ)

** NOTE: The Scriptures are not clear as to whether this war will happen before or after the Rapture of the Church.

WHY

39:21 – “I shall set My glory among the nations; and all the nations will see My judgment”
39:22 – “the house of Israel will know that I am the Lord their God”
39:29 – “I shall have poured out My Spirit on the house of Israel”

These events will not only be a judgment of Israel's enemies in keeping with Genesis 12:1-3, in which God says those who bless Israel He will bless, and those who curse Israel He will curse. The events will also be the beginning of a great spiritual awakening. God will literally and metaphorically shake people out of spiritual apathy and lethargy to realize there is a God in heaven. He will also shake people who are following false religions and turn them to Himself. Moreover, He will shake those who are followers of Christ but not serious about their faith. It should be noted that ours is the first generation in human history in which all the nations on earth will be able to watch the "War of Gog and Magog" unfold because of the emergence of television and satellite technology.

Prophecy Update: SPECULATION IS RUNNING HIGH

This Prophecy Update is brought to you by Dr. Perry Stone Jr. on September 26, 2007.

High speed Internet service linked with world wide blogs enable individuals to gain immediate access to information that once took days to rise to the forefront. When a tsunami strikes, the world knows within several minutes. When a child is kidnapped, within an hour the secular media can flash photographs and urgent information on the screen. Such an inrush of information speeding through T-1 lines can give you a brain overload! This overload created the opportunity for numerous forms of speculation.

When dealing with the prophetic word I made every effort to remind people that that there is a difference between prophetic revelation and human speculation. The prophets from the Bible are 100% accurate. Their visions and dreams of coming events will come to pass. The missing element in the mix is the exact timing of each event. We have a “sure word of prophecy” through the revelation of Scripture, but the timing of the events is unknown and subject to human speculation.

We have witnessed this throughout the centuries when sincere believers and some alleged scholars have attempted to pinpoint the exact day and year of Christ’s Return. The most publicized attempt was in 1988, when a man wrote a book, “88 Reasons Why Jesus Will Return in 1988.” When 1988 passed he wrote a follow up book, released in 1989, revealing that his calculation was wrong by one year. Both books sold millions of copies and when 1990 arrived these books were trashed and to my knowledge he has not been heard from since. He was sincere but sincerely wrong in his speculation.

At times when preaching on future events, I will paint a series of scenarios to show how a certain event could come to pass. For example, what will be the trigger to initiate the war of Gog and Magog reported to occur in the future (Ezekiel 38 and 39)? We can see how the rise of Iran (Persia) and the conflict in the Middle East combined with the Palestinian issue will forge a new opportunity for the Islamic enemies of Israel to initiate a sweeping invasion into the Holy Land.

When building a scenario picture I always try to remind the listeners that this is only a possibility of how it could occur. Only time is the interpreter to how these events will unfold.

There is activity in Russia, China, Syria, Iraq, Iran and Israel that is creating prophetic implications. At the same time we must not be overly concerned with the speculations often made by secular journalists and political analysts. I recall two years prior to the year 2000, how “specialist” in the computer industry were warning about the possible damage caused by computers once their internal clocks rolled over to 2000. It seemed experts came out of the closet, all riding the Y2K assessment bandwagon, warning of global catastrophic impact if at midnight on 2000, the computers shut down.

I remember being in Pulaski Virginia, speaking to a man about the issue. He was a former government computer expert worker and he simply laughed and said, “Trust me, nothing big will come of this. The computer industry is feeding this so they can make billions of dollars on folks buying the latest fix and the tech people are making a ton of money by rewriting programs. I remember the speculation was huge that a disaster worse than the depression was coming. After January 1, 2000 everyone began eating their beans and spam!

The same is true with the possible scenarios of a coming terrorist attack and a war with Iran. This year I read a book stating a target date for the war. After selling 1.2 million copies, the author went in and revised the chapter on Israel attacking Iraq and added an interview with a former terrorist. When the book first came out I told a friend, “It is dangerous to set a date on an event, even if it is coming from a specialist.” I remember several years ago I was planning an overseas trip. I had a friend contact a high level person in Washington to see if I should make the trip. The person said, “Hold off on it because President Bush may go to war at that time” I cancelled the trip and the war never came in November. It came 5 months later! Was I ever disappointed that I cancelled the trip!

We know major events will occur. There is coming another terror attack. I have seen several details of what will happen but have no indication of the time frame. Will Iran be the next war? Unless they change their tune, eventually a war will come. But again there is no time frame revealed or given. Some are putting a war off into 2008 and as far as 2009. In the mean time I will stay close to the Lord, stay in pray, keep planning and preaching just the way Christ told me to do (occupy till I come).

Continue to plan, be alert and stay close to Jesus. Always remember, God is always in control!

Hello, welcome to my blog!

In my opinion, the first step to understanding the times in which we are now living, or the "End Times" is to first consider the source for which I (we), "Futurists" base our opinion.

The Evangelicial, Christian Bible (New King James for me) is the most accurate and proven book ever written. The late Pastor Adrian Rodgers asks this question and provides us with a thought provoking answer:

What evidence is there that the Bible is in fact God's Word?

I want to give you five reasons to affirm the Bible is the Word of God.

First, I believe the Bible is the Word of God because of its scientific accuracy. The Truth of the Word of God tells us that God “He stretches out the north over empty space; He hangs the earth on nothing.” (Job 26:7). How did Job know that the earth hung in space before the age of modern astronomy and space travel? The Holy Spirit told him. The scientists of Isaiah’s day didn’t know the topography of the earth, but Isaiah said, “It is He [God] who sits above the circle of the earth” (Isaiah 40:22). The word for “circle” here means a globe or sphere. How did Isaiah know that God say upon the circle of the earth? By divine inspiration. (2 Timothy 3:16-17) also tells us: "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work."

Secondly, the Bible is affirmed through historical accuracy. Do you remember the story about the handwriting on the wall that is found in the fifth chapter of Daniel? Belshazzar hosted a feast with a thousand of his lords and ladies. Suddenly, a gruesome hand appeared out of nowhere and began to write on a wall. The king was disturbed and asked for someone to interpret the writing. Daniel was found and gave the interpretation. After the interpretation, “Then Belshazzar gave the command, and they clothed Daniel with purple and put a chain of gold around his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.” (Daniel 5:29). Basing their opinion on Babylonian records, the historians claim this never happened. According to the records, the last king of Babylon was not Belshazzar, but a man named Nabonidas. And so, they said, the Bible is in error. There wasn’t a record of a king named Belshazzar. Well, the spades of archeologists continued to do their work. In 1853, an inscription was found on a cornerstone of a temple built by Nabonidas, to the god Ur, which read: “May I, Nabonidas, king of Babylon, not sin against thee. And may reverence for thee dwell in the heart of Belshazzar, my first-born favorite son.” From other inscriptions, it was learned that Belshazzar and Nabonidas were co-regents. Nabonidas traveled while Belshazzar stayed home to run the kingdom. Now that we know that Belshazzar and Nabonidas were co-regents, it makes sense that Belshazzar would say that Daniel would be the third ruler. What a marvelous nugget of truth tucked away in the Word of God!

Third, from Genesis to Revelation, the Bible reads as one book. And there is incredible unity to the Bible. The Bible is one book, and yet it is made up of 66 books, was written by at least 40 different authors over a period of about 1600 years, in 13 different countries and on three different continents. It was written in at least three different languages by people in all professions. The Bible forms one beautiful temple of truth that does not contradict itself theologically, morally, ethically, doctrinally, scientifically, historically, or in any other way.

Fourth, did you know the Bible is the only book in the world that has accurate prophecy? When you read the prophecies of the Bible, you simply have to stand back in awe. There are over 300 precise prophecies that deal with the Lord Jesus Christ in the Old Testament that are fulfilled in the New Testament. To say that these are fulfilled by chance is an astronomical impossibility. Therefore; since all of it's past prophsies have proven to be accurate, we have reason to believe and the up most assurance that all future prophsies will come true right on time.

Finally, the Bible is not a book of the month, but the Book of the ages. First Peter 1:25 says: “But the word of the Lord endures forever. Now this is the Word which by the gospel is preached to you.” No book has ever had as much opposition as the Bible. Men have laughed at it, scorned it, burned it, ridiculed it, and made laws against it. But the Word of God has survived. And it is applicable today as much as it was yesterday and will be tomorrow.

It’s so majestically deep that scholars could swim and never touch the bottom. Yet so wonderfully shallow that a little child could come and get a drink of water without fear of drowning. That is God’s precious, holy Word. The Word of God. Know it. Believe it. It is True!
